The Big Read

Ever wanted to join a bookclub where you know and love every book on the list! Then the BRLSI Big Read might be for you. Each month BRLSI takes a classic and shares it with likeminded friends who might want to savor it once again. Texts featured in the BRLSI Big Read have included The Great Gatsby, The Age of Innocence, The Pursuit of Love, Mrs Dalloway, Rogue Male, Beware of Pity, and Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet.

Each Big Read Session lasts approximately one hour, and revolves around a 20 minute introduction of the novel by the session leader, before opening out to a wider discussion with the rest of the group. Attendees are sent starter questions in advance. What’s even more wonderful is that if you are a paid up BRLSI member, then the BRLSI Big Read is absolutely free! Keep your eyes on our What’s On page or subscribe to our Weekly BRLSI What’s On  to find out which book comes next!
