£3.00 – £6.00Ready to get philosophical? Dr David Leech considers recent contributions to the metaphysics of feeling. Exploring the work of Mark Wynn on emotional experience and Matthew Ratcliffe on existential feelings, he will look at how both of these in their distinct but related ways allow that the way feelings disclose the world to human beings could lend itself to religious interpretations. By contrast Quentin Smith, who also thinks feelings can disclose the meaning of the world, contends that the (objective) felt meanings of the world either show that God does not exist or, at least, would show that God is metaphysically insignificant with respect to the meaning of the world.
