Haile Selassie, Emperor in Exile: the Inside Story of his Enforced Stay in Bath

This recording of a live online talk by author and broadcaster Keith Bowers focuses on how Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia came to end up living in Bath as a high-profile refugee in the 1930s. It goes into fascinating detail about his experiences and activities during his four year exile which was largely spent living at Fairfield House on the western outskirts of the city. And Keith completes the story by explaining what happened to the Emperor on his return to Ethiopia after the Second World War.
