Two hundred years ago, the first Industrial Revolution changed society. Today, many people think we need a second revolution to solve complex global problems caused by the ongoing digitisation of our daily lives. In 2021, the Deep Transitions Project was created through a special year-long partnership between scholars and international investors. They aimed to imagine future societies and systems that can handle the challenges of a digital world and figure out how investors can make them a reality. Victoria Ward, who helped lead the Deep Transitions Project and founded Jigsaw Foresight, shares some of the practical ideas and solutions the team has come up with.
