World in 2050: Technology & Innovation

July 28, 2023

Lecture by David Born on Friday 28th July 2023, Queen Square, Bath.

Do we have a lot less to fear than we think? Technology and innovation have always been key drivers of economic growth and prosperity, but also lead to fears of being left behind or losing jobs. The pace of development and diffusion of new technologies has accelerated over time – with the growing power of AI, we are at the dawn of a new technology age. The Roland Berger Trend Compendium 2050 analyses the value of technology, and in this talk, part of our World in 2050 series, Dr David Born from Roland Berger joined virtually from Germany via live stream to take a closer look at frontier technologies and the relationship between humans and machines.
