Raymond Tallis: Time Travel and Other Myths about Time

September 1, 2020

In this video recording of a live talk, Raymond Tallis, one of Britain’s foremost philosophers and public intellectuals, focuses on myths that arise out of treating time as a mere dimension analogous to the dimensions of space. Various reductive definitions of time are examined and rejected. The main focus is on time travel and Professor Tallis sets out the reasons why this is impossible even in principle. The presentation is followed by a vigorous question and answer session.
