“Schöner als überall” (2019) is the first novel of Kristin Höller, (born in 1996). A Spiegel review compares it with “The Catcher in the Rye” as a novel of youthful alienation and the desire to escape from the complacent village life of the older generation.” Judy Spencer, former Lecturer in German at Bath City College, guides a discussion of the book, in German.
