Sixth Form Philosophy Seminars 2025

 

BRLSI is delighted to be running free Sixth Form Philosophy seminars again in 2025, in conjunction with the Royal Institute of Philosophy.

Led by Calum Sims (University of Bristol), the free weekly seminars explore the fundamental questions of philosophy, why it is important and its meaning in relation to life.

Seminars run on Wednesdays at 5.30pm from 30 April to 4 June, both in person at BRLSI and online via Livelink. The seminars are intended for Sixth Form Students who want to develop their critical reasoning skills and delve deeper into prevailing worldviews.

This year the seminars focus on The Value of Self-Awareness and cover:

30 April – Me, Myself and I

7 May – Ourselves amongst Others

14 May – The Networked Self

21 May – Self-Awareness and Values

28 May – Social Self-Awareness

4 June – Self-Awareness for Change

The seminars are for school pupils in Y12 and Y13 only.
