What might the future of self-awareness look like? Is the culture we live in making us less self-aware? Is this a problem, and if so, is there anything we can do about it?
We’ll round out the course by connecting our discussions from the previous five weeks into a big picture overview of where we think the world is headed and what role we think we are supposed to play in it. Linking back to the problems we identified in the first week, we’ll develop a toolkit for tackling these questions going forward, and decide for ourselves whether self-awareness should be a part of it.
A series of free seminars for sixth formers, using philosophy to explore one of the fundamental questions of life: What is self-awareness and what am I supposed to do with it?
Series runs for 6 weeks (in person or online) on Wednesdays from 30 April – 4 June, 5.30-7pm.
To sign up contact your Head of Sixth Form or Philosophy teacher, or email programme@brlsi.org with your name and the name of your school. Please note this course is for school pupils in Y12 & Y13 only.
