6th Form Philosophy series
- This event has passed.
What use to me is being self-aware? Can self-awareness be trained, and if so, how do I train it? What do I do when it goes wrong?
Beginning the applied section of the course, the fourth seminar in our series looks at the virtues and vices of self-awareness, asking whether it is the sort of thing that can be trained and thinking about the best methods to train it. We’ll talk about the sorts of values, if any, that you think are important, and think about how self-awareness can help you, and others, to manifest them.
A series of free seminars for sixth formers, using philosophy to explore one of the fundamental questions of life: What is self-awareness and what am I supposed to do with it?
Series runs for 6 weeks (in person or online) on Wednesdays from 30 April – 4 June, 5.30-7pm.
To sign up contact your Head of Sixth Form or Philosophy teacher, or email programme@brlsi.org with your name and the name of your school. Please note this course is for school pupils in Y12 & Y13 only.
