Lifelong Learning course returns for 2013/14

Literature for Life: Lost and Found will explore quest as a theme in literature.  
We shall accompany the protagonists of four classic novels on their journeys of discovery.  Do they find what they are looking for and what is lost on the way?
Texts include:
John Steinbeck, The Grapes of Wrath  (1939);
Alain-Fournier,  Le Grand Meaulnes (The Lost Estate)(1913);
Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness (1902);
Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey (1818)
This is an accredited 10-week course taught by an experienced Lifelong Learning tutor, Barbara Grodecka Lewis.
Meetings are on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 12.15pm at BRLSI, starting 8 October (no meeting on 29 October).
