Toppings Booksellers of the Paragon, Bath are offering BRLSI members free entry (normal price £7/£6) to hear distinguished mathematical physicist Sir Roger Penrose (right) speak at St Michael’s Church (opposite Waitrose) at 8.00 pm on Thursday 25th November (doors open at 7.30).
 
Sir Roger, who shared the 1988 Wolf Prize for Physics with Stephen Hawking, will be talking about his book Cycles of Time, in which he develops a completely new perspective on cosmology, providing an unexpected answer to the often-asked question, “what came before the Big Bang?”.
