As someone famously said “unaccustomed as I am to public speaking” I am hoping to persuade you to come to the ambitious party I have organized. For the first time ever, there will be a dance floor, live music and a choice of two hot main courses, dessert, coffee and wine included in the attractively  priced ticket of £25.00 per person.  On arrival, you will greeted with a glass of mulled wine, a copy of Bob’s questionnaire and given the opportunity to demonstrate your generosity in purchasing raffle tickets for the dozen or so prizes available.
I have done my best to organize an enjoyable party.  All we require now is your attendance in large numbers.  Be under no illusion – there will be no Strictly Come Dancing qualification required to “strut  the boards”, but I feel I should warn you that I have invited a enthusiastic exponent of Salsa dancing!
