Other Information

The purplish leaves suggest a cultivated form. At some distance from gardens but almost certainly spread from a local garden. Probably only the second record for the British Isles. Revisited to examine fruit on 19th June but very few flowers had developed a seed capsule, which suggests the plant may be a hybrid.
