Other Information

Unexpected - the only other place I have seen this plant in our area is Hazelbury Common - Simon Crampin. I was not aware that it grew here or on Hazelbury Common. At Summerhill it is probably a garden escape. Most colonies are south of Bath and are of long-standing. Several names have been used, either as subspecies or as separate species. Currently two names are in use: ssp. umbellatum and ssp. campestre (previously ssp. angustifolium). Both may occur around Bath but the plant has not been investigated - Rob Randall.
