Other Information
It only tended to stain yellowish at the base of the stipe (stem) so I took one home assuming it was a Horse Mushroom but once I noticed its unpleasant smell I discarded it as one of the poisonous species. Because it does not readily turn yellow when damaged and has a cap which is darker in the centre it is possibly Pilati's Yellow Stainer (Agaricus pilatianus) which used to be treated as a variety of A.xanthodermus.
