On the 24th November 2016 Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution Collections was awarded the status of Accredited Museum by The Arts Council of England.
Matt Williams, our Collections Manager, reports that “The Accreditation Panel welcomed the museum to the Scheme and the strong application made by the museum was noted by our assessor. The BRLSI Directors, Collections sub-Committee, and I are all delighted with the news!”
The Accrediation Scheme sets nationally agreed standards for UK museums. To qualify, museums must meet standards on how they are managed, for the services they offer and how they care for collections.
