The World in 2050: The Post-Digital Society

Two hundred years ago the first Industrial Revolution transformed Society. Now, the incremental digitization of day to day lives has left many believing a second revolution delivering fundamental systemic transformation to complex, global problems is overdue.  In 2021, the Deep Transitions Project was born out of a rare, unique year-long collaboration between academics and global investors to imagine future societies and systems that address the exigencies of a digitized world and explore how investors might bring them into being. Victoria Ward, co-facilitator of the Deep Transitions Project and founder of Jigsaw Foresight details some of the practical approaches and realistic solutions the project team have generated.
