Discussion of Daheim by Judith Hermann

£2.00 – £5.00| Bath German Society will be meeting on Thursday 14th July for our annual book discussion, which will be led by Judith Spencer. This year the book is “Daheim” by Judith Hermann, a well-established and highly regarded German author. The book has been a Spiegel bestseller, as well as being nominated for the Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse 2021. If you would like to focus on some questions whilst reading the book, then please consider the following: Was passiert im ersten Teil des Romans? (S. 7 – 25) Warum ist es wichtig? (S. 59) Welche Symbolik – wenn überhaupt – hat die Marderfalle? Das Wort “Damals” kommt mehrmals vor: in welchem Kontext? (S. 7, S. 39, S. 179) Wie kann man die Nixengeschichte interpretieren?
