£4.00 – £8.00This year marks the centenary of the birth of the author and socialite Truman Capote. A precocious literary stylist – most famous for Breakfast at Tiffany’s – he turned his hand to journalism in 1959.
The result was In Cold Blood, published in 1966 and heralded as Capote’s “non-fiction novel”, chronicling the brutal and seemingly senseless murders of a Kansas family with a novelist’s eye and ear. Director Richard Brooks cleaved to Capote’s style in this chilling film adaptation released a year later.
Don’t miss the chance to experience the film and everything it tells you about the American justice system.
