Sketches from Afghanistan and Iraq

Bath artist Matthew Cook worked as a war artist for the Times of London in both the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns, creating numerous memorable images. In this talk he describes his experiences in the two campaigns. He outlines the challenges of working as an artist when the bullets are flying all around and the practical and ethical considerations involved. The talk will be illustrated with many examples of Matthew’s work.
