FlourishCafe: Radical Intergenerational Wonder
Mon 11 November at 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm GMT
This free event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 7–16 November 2024.
Being Human is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. For further information please see the Being Human Festival website here; or the full list of Being Human: Bath events here
In this workshop we’ll explore what it means to flourish between and across the generations. How we can nurture “spaces of wonder” that are relevant, exciting and engaging for all.
We’ll be using a powerful approach that incorporates World café methods (fun, creative, sense-making activities), philosophical insights and creative artistry to destabilise our conceptions of culture and to encourage intergenerational dialogue, collaboration, and social intelligence for a flourishing cultural sector for the people of Bath & surrounds.
Be brave, be ready for intrigue and some creative disruptive practice as we connect with one another through group discussion and the joy of tea and cake!
Tickets are FREE and must be booked in advance here.
