Exhibition – Images of Bath & Tokyo

Digital imagery & photography from Jason Dorley-Brown and Andrew Polson

Although Jason and Andrew have spent much of their lives in Bath and have many mutual friends, it was only recently that they were introduced through their mutual love of photography.
Jason then curated an exhibition of street photography images that Andrew took while visiting Tokyo for the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
The exhibition, ‘A Week in Tokyo’ was shown at BRLSI in 2020 but unfortunately had to close early due to Covid restrictions.
When BRLSI offered to show the images again, Andrew and Jason decided it would be the perfect opportunity to have a joint exhibition.

The exhibition, now titled Images of Bath and Tokyo, combines Andrew’s street photography with Jason’s reimagining of Baths architecture through digital painting.

The Tokyo photographs show Andrew’s keen eye for portraiture and his capturing of unique moments through the timing of his composition.
The Bath images show Jason’s love of colour, combining
media, digital manipulation in post production and
minimalism. Both series of images highlight the artists’ shared love of symmetry.

The exhibition is open from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, from Friday 10 December into January 2022. For Christmas opening hours please check our website.
