Village Carols at Christmas – live music!

Drawing members from across the county, The Somerset Russets Village Band uses strings, woodwind and squeezeboxes to explore the musical traditions of Britain and beyond. Christmas sees the Russets returning to their origins to celebrate the church and village bands of eighteenth and nineteenth century England, as fondly portrayed in the writings of Thomas Hardy.

With songs of epic journeys, rural pastimes and loves lost and found, the Bath Folk Singers are a community choir performing English folk songs in rich harmony. They have performed extensively across Bath and the surrounding area where they always impress with their varied, entertaining programmes and their heart felt performances. The Choir is conducted by Matt Norman.

This is a free concert, with a collection to be split between a local charity and BRLSI.
