Migraine: Bench to bedside
Thu 16 March 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm GMT
Headache is the commonest symptom in neurology and migraine is by far the commonest cause of headache. The World Health Organisation considers migraine to be the seventh commonest cause of days lost from work. In recent years we have gained a greater understanding of the anatomy, physiology and biochemistry of the disorder and how they relate directly to the patterns of symptoms. This has lead to new and targeted treatments. This talk will give an overview of these developments and how they shed light on the symptoms and their treatment.
