Male & Female Reproductive Behaviour
Tue 6 July 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Online: Male & Female Reproductive Behaviour
Darwin’s sexual selection theory has used to explore stereotypical views of difference in sexual desire between the sexes. But do such differences really stand up to scrutiny? This question is explored via a review of the key texts which have developed the concepts of sexual selection and parental investment theory as explanations for human sex differences. Such texts are explored chronologically beginning with Darwin’s Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex, right through to Fred Toates’ The Evolution of Desire: How Sexual Desire Works.
