I see no ships – Nelson & Bath
Free walk
Tue 14 May at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm BST
This free walk is one of the events to mark the Bicentenary of Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution and the 90th Anniversary of The Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Guides.
Learn why Admiral Lord Nelson, our country’s greatest ever naval hero, came to inland Bath. Nelson was to return to Bath on many occasions and played host to the cream of society in a place then known as “the busiest idle place in the world”. See the vial of Nelson’s blood and learn about its mystery!
Numbers are limited and booking is essential – please go to Book Tickets for all details. This walk will be repeated on 21 May.
We have other walks arranged with the Mayor’s Guides – Canals, coalmines & the science of geology (23 April / 7 May).
