A musical tribute to Berlin
Live piano & singing
Wed 14 October at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm BST
£4.00 – £8.00 Live music / German culture
The Bath German Society invites you to a musical tribute to Berlin in the first half of the twentieth century.
At a time of threat to democracy from both Fascism and Communism, Berlin escaped into a world of fun, fantasy, gritty low life and nostalgia. There will be music from theatre, cabaret, beer hall and film, including Lil Marleen, Berliner Luft and Mack the Knife.
Jennifer Thomas, Trixy Alberga, William Starling and Marcus Likeman will sing, accompanied by Steven Hollas on the piano. There will be plenty of opportunity for audience participation and refreshments are included.
