The BRLSI attended an event at the Francis Hotel in Queens Square in February to celebrate International Women’s Day. Chair of BRLSI Betty Suchar raised a toast to Mary Shelley, author of the gothic classic Frankenstein. Shelley wrote most of Frankenstein while she was living in Bath and the Francis Hotel even features in the story.
