Locality St. Anne's Churchyard, Oldland Common
Environment A bright and sunny morning with virtually no wind. visibility very good.
Habitat Churchyard with surrounding trees. Parakeets were seen feeding on the young developing green shoots of the Yew Trees.
Notes These three birds spent the early part of 2018 in and around the churchyard but by March had apparently left the area. This species is a B.O.U. Category C species meaning that it is self-sustaining, having initially colonised the U.K. from escaped cage-birds. The main population in the U.K. is centred around London and the home counties.
