Notes One large colony in a field with quite frequent plants of its relative, Spiny Restharrow. Both have sticky glands on the leaves but in this species, they have a rather disagreeable smell. The flowering stems sometimes grow upright but more often they are at an angle. Spiny forms are known but they are mostly found on the coast. It appears to flower a week or two later than Spiny Restharrow.
