DNA is an ancient molecule that is broken, repaired, copied and renewed with each cell division. As we age, our DNA accumulates environmental induced changes. Yet before we transmit our DNA to the next generation we clean it up and restore it, so that every newborn individual can potentially start life with a clean slate. Or can they?
