BRLSI Victor Suchar Xmas Lecture - Global Food Security...

Date Description
12 December 2018

Sir Charles Godfray, Director of the Oxford Martin School

Can we feed the world healthily, equitably and sustainably? In fifty years’ time, more people will require more food, more wealthy people will demand a better diet. Meeting their needs with sustainable agriculture while promoting healthy diets is one of the greatest challenges of the twenty-first century. The talk will explore looming threats but will conclude positively, that it is possible. But only if we take difficult decisions in the near future.
