Dr. Kasteliz is a retired Bath Physician and Past President of the Bristol Medico-Historical Society. Being Austrian by birth he has a particular interest in the history of medicine in Austria, and will recount the fascinating story of the 18thC main hospital of Vienna, the largest in Europe for 200 years, and what became of it and the famous “Narrenturm”, a tower built for the care for the mentally ill.
