An Engineer from the large French company EGIS, who has re-installed many of the new trams systems in French cities will talk about the practicalities and costs of doing this.
She will report on how these new trams, working with buses have transformed the environment in terms of cutting traffic congestion and pollution, and re-vitalised the commerce by getting customers into the city cheaply, quickly and enjoyably without cars.
She will discuss Bath's suitability for trams and compare it with Besancon a recent tram re-install in a city very similar to Bath in terms of size.
