Bath Society of Botanical Artists - Exhibition: Plants with a Purpose

03 October 2019

Thursday 3rd to Monday 21st

Free Entry:10 am to 4 pm (closed Sundays)

For the past eighteen months members have been painting plants that are used by us whether as food, medicine or used for clothing, building and fuel.  Life on earth depends on plants, without them mankind would cease to exist.  This exhibition aims to help us appreciate the plant world and how important it is for us all to care for it.

Over seventy paintings will be on display with additional information about the diverse ways in which we use plants.

As part of the exhibition, Timothy Walker, past Director of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, will give a talk ‘What have plants ever done for us?’ on 18 October at 7.30pm at the same venue.
