BRLSI hosts exhibition to mark 250 years of the Bath Chronicle

This Saturday (October 9th) sees the opening of an exhibition at BRLSI celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Bath Chronicle newspaper, organised jointly by the Chronicle and BRLSI.
Chronicle Editor Sam Holliday (pictured) told us “the exhibition will contain images of pivotal papers in the our history as well as photographs we’ve used to celebrate local life. We also hope to showcase the winners of a number of competitions we’ll be running around the theme of our anniversary with photographs, children’s artwork and short stories”.
He continued “We hope the exhibition will be a reminder to the city of the highs and lows we’ve shared with it – and proof that newspapers have a longevity that no-one could have forecast when that first title appeared on our streets.”
The Exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm (except Sundays) from October 9th until October 22nd, and admission is free.
