Photographed because the patterns on its wings were clearly visible. Bedraggled feathers suggested it had been there for some time. It was minus its head, which had presumably been carried off by a mammal. Found near a grave so cause of death possibly the result of diving to catch a bird and colliding with a tombstone or tree trunk.
