The BRLSI cares for a diverse museum collection, gathered through nearly 200 years. The oldest items are as old or even older than the earth, a stony iron meteorite could be older than 4.9 billion years!

The BRLSI collections are described in detail here. The collections are available to researchers by appointment, and to the public through themed temporary exhibitions in the Jenyns Room of the BRLSI, 16-18 Queen Square, Bath and touring exhibitions.

The virtual museum is a sumplimentary way in which to access aspects of the collections.
