The separation between scientific disciplines is progressively crumbling as we become more aware that Nature doesn’t recognise boundaries between Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Inanimate matter seems to obey the laws of nature without exception, down to the last letter but living things, by contrast, appear to have a will of their own. Professor Vedral asks if there are any limits to scientific explanation and whether, by bridging that troublesome gap between the micro (quantum) and macro (classical) worlds, all sciences will ultimately be reducible to Physics?
