How to find us

Most of our events are non-ticketed - just pay at the door. Entry costs £4.00, or £2.00 for BRLSI members/students. However we are selling advance tickets for some of the most popular Darwin and Beyond events (marked with the ‘Book Now’ logo, right). These tickets guarantee entry into the main lecture room, though not a specific seat location.  

Advance tickets are available from the Bath Festival Box Office (01225 463362, boxoffice@bathfestivals.org.uk), and cost £6.00, or £4.00 for BRLSI members/students. You can also buy tickets online - click the ‘Book Now’ logo where you see it next to an event.

Some standby tickets (£4/£2) will be kept for these events, available at the door on the night. If possible we’ll make overflow space available, with audio feeds, for standby visitors who arrive too late to get into the main lecture room.

Some events held in conjunction with other organisations have their own prices. These are shown in the event listings.

All Darwin & Beyond events are at BRLSI, 16 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN, and start at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated. We’re the third entrance up on the western side of the square - look for the posters in the window! Contact us on 01225 312084 or email admin@brlsi.org.

Getting here
By Road - We are literally on the A4 as you head through the city centre route from London to Bristol. There is on-street parking by meter (free after 6pm) in the surrounding streets, and a (very) large surface car park round the corner in Charlotte Street (opposite ‘Palace Yard Mews’ in the map below - £1 from 6pm to midnight).

By Rail - Bath Spa railway station is 10-15 mins walk away (click and drag the map up and to the right to find it). Taxis are normally available from the forecourt.

By Bus - Bath’s temporary bus station, next to Avon Street car park, is 10 mins walk - it’s at the end of Green Park Road (drag the map upwards) in the map below.
