Volunteers Party

 On Saturday 4 June, the weather was kind enough for us to hold our party in the garden at the back of the building. The garden looked lovely and was perfumed by a large pink rambler rose and a mock orange. It was a pleasure to see so many volunteers and a record number of seven trustees, and to have time to chat together. So many prizes were donated for the raffle that the odds of winning were very good!

 We hold a summer party each year for our volunteers as a, very small, way of saying thank you to all of you who volunteer in so many ways which enables BRLSI to be such a vibrant, exciting and intellectually sound organisation. Special thanks go to Rosemarie Davies and Janet Cunliffe-Jones for their help in organising the party.

 Desk Rota

Can you spare a morning (10-1) or afternoon (1-4) to look after the front desk? If so, sign up the rota (on the desk) or contact Iva Carrdus (reception@brlsi.org.)

Friends of BRLSI

Would you like to see more social events at BRLSI, where members, new and old, can get to know each other?

We would love to recruit a group of members who would organise such events as and when they thought fit. They could be purely social, or could have a fundraising aspect. Members who have recently joined could make a contribution in this way - and get to know people at the same time.
