A programme of Lunchtime Talks has been arranged for 2008, on the first Thursday of each month (except January and August). Coffee is available from 12.45pm, and the talks run from 1.00 to 2.00pm.
The title of the 2008 series is "The Art Of...". The first three subjects will be Fencing, Scottish Dancing and Cosmetics. We hope to continue with computer games design and photography.
6th March 2008: Scottish Dancing
This talk will cover the history of Scottish Dance, how the dances and music were devised to commemorate special events and some related social history including highland dress. There might also be short demonstrations of some of the dances.
