SHAPING A TRULY GLOBAL RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE
PROFESSOR ANIL MARKANDYA
Bath University and Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change
Monday, 21 April 2008 at 7.30pm
How will rich and poor countries share the burden of coping with climate change? What sort of agreement will replace the Kyoto Protocol? How can global actions be fully effective in a continuously worsening situation? These are some of the challenges to be examined by Professor Markandya. He has served as a lead author for the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which has just shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore.
